Winter Semester:

 

Each Winter Semester, Professor Kunz presents a lecture for students of biochemistry, informatics, and “Studium Universale”:

the part “Zoology” in the lecture “General Botany and Zoology for chemists and information scientists”.

Summer Semester:

Each Summer Semester, Professor Kunz presents (for 10 days) the

V-Module 446 "Basics in Biodiversity and Evolution"

including lectures, seminars and field trips at the Biological Station Lator in the Bükk National Park in Hungary. The excursion program also includes the Hortobagy-Puszta.

The module is multidisciplinary and comprises field biology, the theories of evolution and the origin of biodiversity, including molecular biology and population genetics as well as the theories of nature conservation. The entire module takes place at a private station with seminar room, board and lodging in the midst of a territory with lots of insects, amphibians, reptiles and birds (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKvPFtM2vuo). Expenses:

Own contribution: flight from Düsseldorf or Köln-Bonn to Budapest (around 110 Euro, if booked at early time) plus 180 Euro plus drinks. All other expenses are covered by the University.
